报告人简介:
Dr. Junjie Zhu took his BSc, MSc and PhD in physics department from University of Science and Technology of China. After he got his PhD in August of 2005, he worked in Chonbuk National University, South Korea as a postdoc researcher. From January of 2007, he started his second postdoc research in MiNa Lab, centre for material science and nanotechnology, University of Oslo for two years. Now, he is working at Solar Department, Institute for Energy Technology, Norway as a researcher scientist. Dr. Junjie Zhu has been working on material science for almost 10 years. Now, his work is focused on crystalline Silicon based solar cells, including the commercial Si solar cell process, modules fabrication and some concept solar cells for high efficiency.

Abstract:
Photovoltaic (PV) technology which is transforming solar radiation directly to electricity gives us a clean, quiet and renewable energy. PV energy is very promising to satisfy the world’s future energy ever growing requirement. In PV technology, crystalline silicon based solar cells and modules is still the dominant since the beginning. It will at least retain its leading role for a time although exciting progress based on other materials has been achieved. The price of PV panel is always the big challenge for its application although it has been decreased to about $1.5/Wp so far. Reducing the law material consumption and/or increasing the solar cell efficiency are the main trends to decrease the solar panel price. Some new concept solar cells with high efficiency have been designed and put in the market. The overview of PV technology as well as the fabrication of commercial crystalline Si based solar cells will be introduced in this talk.
